Inauguration Day

It is a unique day, I am sitting in my cozy living room, watching snow fall outside - very beautiful and such a treat for this part of the country - watching the historic events unfold on my television.
I woke early this morning, and prayers went to the Throne of Grace for our new president, Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle and their sweet daughters, as they move into the White House and take the oath of office of the President of the United States of America. What a huge thing! I pray God's blessing on them, and that as they are placed into this seat of authority, we, the people of the United States of America - especially the Church, would rise up and mindfully pray for them, in so doing, pleasing the Lord. I am SO thankful that God is over all things and we can trust Him in our times. He is our Treasure!

Isaiah 33:6
He will be the sure foundation for your times,
a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge;
the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure.

This is such a fitting scripture for this day, I pray that the nation will come together and pray whole-heartily for our new President and his family also for our vice President and his family. I pray that Pres. Obama will let God order his steps and that he will always look to God for all his decision makings

Amen! My children and I have talked about how we can pray for him and his family asking God to give him wisdom and protection. They are eager to do so!

Whole30 ~ I did it!!

So this past month I embarked upon an adventure: I have been been doing a body-reset program called " Whole30 ".  The program is very intense, with straight-forward guidelines: basically you have NO sugar, No grains, and No dairy, for 30 days. When I first realized what it was about and what you were suppose to do, I was like " NO WAY! I could not do that! "  Yet, always the cheerleader for health and holistic living, I proclaimed to my friend who was saying she was going to do it, " I will do it with you to support you! " September 30, after 10PM I ate my last 3 Tim-Tam cookies, fully dunked in a creamy cup of tea, saying a sweet farewell to sugar, grains and dairy-laden drinks for my next 30 days!! And what an adventure it has been.... Typical Whole30 breakfast: I have always eaten eggs and coffee,  but now I was omitting cheese, toast, and cream!! ...The first 48 hours I experienced flu-like aches, crankiness, headaches, as my body screamed...
