You Dance Over Me

The other night I lay in bed, tossing and turning, unable to find sleep. I am an early to bed, early to rise person, especially when i am teaching. If i don't get my sleep, i just don't function well.... As most of you know, sometimes the things on our hearts and minds keep us from sleeping - i have a sensitive spirit and things tend to cause me more anxiety than necessary, though this was not the cause of my tossing and turning....but my mind was tumbling over several things as the night hours turned to morning hours.

I finally decided, well, if i am going to toss and my mind is going to tumble, i need to journal - I wrote a prayer to the Lord and laid out my concerns before Him, asking Him for wisdom, and guidance.

As soon as i turned out the light, and shut my eyes...my soul heard these words from a song i had heard earlier that day, "You dance over me, and i am unaware; you sing over me...." It is a song based on Zephaniah 3:17. Instantly i knew this was the Lord....sweetly reminding me of His love...quieting me yet again. I am so amazed by His love....And yes....sleep did come.

Man it's been a long while since I have blogged.  I have been in survival mode, fighting through, keep'n my gaze high as I can, sloughing the mud off and out of my eyes, and trusting that there was some reason for this trench.  Things have been shifting in me in the last few weeks....
