One Hot Date!

One of the blessings i enjoy about living here in NE FL is the proximity of the beach - it is less than an hour to St. Augustine! Yesterday was a beautiful day, clear blue skies and the temps were in the upper 70's...okay, you northerners, a day like yesterday is why you live in FL in February! Being single offers many blessings too - the ability to be spontaneous! So, after spending a day working at school and the wonderful fact that the school day ends before 2p.m....i was off to the beach with a blueberry/mango/banana smoothie, my bible, journal, beach chair, and a good book! God and i were off on a date!

2 an a half hours to read, breath in the salt air, listen to the roar of the waves and a sparcely populated beach to enjoy all to myself. I enjoyed a short run too - wish i could do that everyday but a 25-30 minute run does not warrant a 50 minute drive but once in a while it is so worth it!

Our date on the beach closed with a ceasar salad topped with blackened chicken at the beachy restaurant on the beach dunes....i sat outside on the picnic table to take in the environment to the furtherest degree. God topped off the evening with one of the most spectacular sunsets i have seen in ages; the westerly drive home enhances the blessing of seeing a gorgeous skyline....it was awesome. Thanks Lord!

Your love, O LORD, reaches to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the skies.
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains,
your justice like the great deep.
O LORD, you preserve both man and beast.
How priceless is your unfailing love!
Both high and low among men
find refuge in the shadow of your wings.
They feast on the abundance of your house;
you give them drink from your river of delights.
For with you is the fountain of life;
in your light we see light.
Continue your love to those who know you,
your righteousness to the upright in heart. Psalm 36:5-10
