Scripture Memory - Psalm 18:28-29

Psalm 18 is one of my very favorite special personal passages, as through it God has encouraged me in very specific personal struggles.  One time was when I was pushing through my undergrad and counting down the semesters to the finish line.  He gave me strength though verse 29, "...with Him you can scale a wall!" (NIV) Another very tender piece is verse 19, of which brought me to tears as I received His Word, "I rescued you because I delight in you!"  Oh He is so good to me!

So for the last half of April, I want to sit on verses 28-29 from the HCSB:

"Lord, You light my lamp; My God illuminates my darkness.
With You I can attack a barrier, and with my God I can leap over a wall."

Psalm 62 - Find Rest, My Soul, in God Alone

My soul finds rest in God alone, My Rock and my salvation, A fortress strong against my foes, And I will not be shaken. Though lips may bless and hearts may curse, And lies like arrows pierce me, I’ll fix my heart on righteousness, I’ll look to Him who hears me. Whole30 ~ I did it!!

So this past month I embarked upon an adventure: I have been been doing a body-reset program called " Whole30 ".  The program is very intense, with straight-forward guidelines: basically you have NO sugar, No grains, and No dairy, for 30 days. When I first realized what it was about and what you were suppose to do, I was like " NO WAY! I could not do that! "  Yet, always the cheerleader for health and holistic living, I proclaimed to my friend who was saying she was going to do it, " I will do it with you to support you! " September 30, after 10PM I ate my last 3 Tim-Tam cookies, fully dunked in a creamy cup of tea, saying a sweet farewell to sugar, grains and dairy-laden drinks for my next 30 days!! And what an adventure it has been.... Typical Whole30 breakfast: I have always eaten eggs and coffee,  but now I was omitting cheese, toast, and cream!! ...The first 48 hours I experienced flu-like aches, crankiness, headaches, as my body screamed...
