Tasting the Christmas Season

Hey everyone!

This is a moment by moment update blog entry! I am sitting in the mall, next to Starbucks, so tempted to buy a $4 coffee but am holding out as i am meeting a friend for lunch and i have good coffee at home. Trying to be wise with my money....besides, i really DO want to buy for others instead of me. I have a problem in that I tend to begin to think of the many things I want on my Christmas wish instead of what others may desire....the kid in me is still alive! So, I confess the voice inside to say "I want this, I need that, I would love to have that..." IT is about GIVING...not receiving!

:-) Ah, well, I am still growing! It is festive feeling here in the mall; people meandering by (one sweet soul dropped me a mint on my table as i was engrossed in my computer screen! the smallest things bless so much!), the music, the decorations, the cute kids dressed up for their picture with Santa (he has a REAL beard!), and just everything. I like to just sit and take it in.

I did finish my project I was procrastinating on last Saturday. I ended up eating too much salsa, as my mouth is just plain raw from all the tomatoes! BUT, I did get it finished Monday night! There is a GREAT feeling when a goal is accomplished and you can be proud of yourself for doing it! Yeah! I like to celebrate, and that is worth celebrating - so the next morning i slept in a little later, enjoyed a wonderful egg omelette, toast and tea and felt inspired to dig out my workout video and sweated a bit! Doesn't sound like a huge celebration, but my spirit was happy, and those are things I haven't given myself time to do lately.

So, I hope you all are getting your Christmas shopping done and enjoying the beginnings of the season as I am. I have house projects I want to work on and I am all motivated to get them done! :-) I love Christmas, Love learning more about who Jesus is - and Celebrating Him! To start...He has reminded me, he is the "Light of revelation to the gentiles and the Glory of Israel!" (Luke 2) May His Light Shine in Your Heart today!

Ms. Tammy,

I've done all my Christmas shopping already too! We also decorated the house in lights, and set up our manger scene. (Instead of having the wise men AT the manger scene, they are approaching from the east, as in the Bible)We also have festive music playing inside, and our b-i-g christmas tree. Hope you have a merry Christmas season!

In Christ,

Hello Kate!
I hope you come back to read this as I can't get to your profile and the web link doesn't take me to you! Thanks for reading, I am thankful it is a blessing! ;-) How did you find me? That is always fun to find out.

Merry Christmas from South Carolina!
Tammie
