Welcome to your new home. I pray that it will be a spiritual haven for you and many who come through your doors will be ministered to. I can't wait to visit!
Yay! It's so fun to move in to a new house (after you're actually moved in). I love arranging furniture and deciding where to put everything. You're home looks so nice. Congrats!
DUDE!! You are a home owner!!! Look at you on your little porch :) Super stoked for you my friend. Hopefully, during some time off I can come visit you at your new place! Can South Carolina handle the fun??? North Carolina barely held it together! HA! Thank you so much for your prayers. I have been asking for a lot of it. Not easy living in a foreign country and I sord of did it without really knowing what it was going to be like. BUT God is good...all the time, HE is good! So I will trust Him as He provides, guides, and watches over me. I should make a rap song outta that! SHOOOT!! Alright, well much love to you my friend and we'll be in touch!
God amazes me over and over and over!!!! My Cup Overflows!! (yes, i am excited and MUST use those exclamation points!) This would be me... on Myrtle Beach; it was MUCH COLDER than I anticipated.... note the few layers of clothing I am sporting. I was extremely thankful my wool footies made it in my suitcase... when your feet are warm and dry, it makes the dreadful cold bearable. :-) I attended a retreat this weekend and it wasn't so much that it was a power-packed event but that I saw His hand pulling pieces of Words, Truth, glimpses of treasures of Himself, in His Word together. Almost as if all the things He has been bringing to my heart and mind over the last year culminated this weekend into a blast of understanding and eye-opening revelation! Saturday was the main day for me; Friday, God was whispering to me, "prepare your heart." (Note previous blog post!) As I looked down into my soul, my heart was gripping something that was out of my contro...
If you have been following me here, you will be well aware I have been neck-deep in a huge renovation project. This last week, it has about done me in! I don't know if I am receiving some physical notices that I am getting older... but every part of my body is "powerful worn out" (know where that quote comes from??)! Since I am in the renovating mindset, I thought it was time to make some updating changes on my blog. I wanted to add a few gadgets to make it more interesting, give me some better feedback, and freshen it up a bit. As you can see the "gadgets" are on a slide out thing to the right of the screen: notice I have added a "Popular Posts" gadget. You will also notice there are some feedback and sharing tools for you! I also added a few links to my "about me" page, if you are just coming through for the first time (or have only visited a few times), stop by and let's officially meet! I would LOVE more feed back, so plea...
"Coming home is always wonderful and lonely..." I just messaged that to a dear friend on Facebook. Here I sit, mid-morning, feeling droggy (i made up that word) as I look over the next few days. My house is cool (thank you LORD for a/c!), Sasha is snoozing on the rug at my feet, and it's just a gift of quietness... and alone-ness. I have just spent the past five days traveling to Florida, visiting family, enjoying time off to go, visit, and connect with those I don't see as often as I would like. An odd stomach bug attacked while away so I have returned a bit more drained of energy than normal. Though the lonely-feeling is normal; my house is covering only me, not having a housemate makes it feel very lonely. So, I am praying for God to fill my yellow room with just the right personality! Yesterday, on my return drive, I was delighted to catch a sermon. I think it was John McArthur, which I have not actually ever heard before, though his name soun...
